Should Trailer Spindle Use Both a D-Washer and a Tang Washer

On a trailer would you use a d washer and a tang washer or is it just one or the other

There's no reason to use both a d-washer and tang washer on a trailer spindle. If you have one in use already there would be no advantage to adding an additional one.
