Personally with a Jeep Wrangler like your 2009 JKU I like the Thule SquareBars. The square design has been around forever and is compatible with pretty much any roof mount accessory on the market and Thule's new SquareBars are extremely durable to last a long time. Also, the main advantage of going with aero shaped bars is reduced wind noise and let's face it, are you really worrying about things like wind noise in a Wrangler?

There are two different fit scenarios for your Wrangler Unlimited. If you have the hard top, you will want to use the 60 inch SquareBars, part # TH712500, and the Rapid Gutter Feet, part # TH65BJ.

On the other hand if you're carrying the canoe with the top off you want the same 60 inch SquareBars but instead of the gutter feet get the Evo raised rail feet, part # TH710401.
