I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C67JR which is a concealed cross tube design so the only part of the hitch that is visible once installed is receiver. I have attached a photo for your reference.
For the wiring, I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C56040 which will plug into the vehicle wiring located in the rear cargo area. You will then need a 4-pole upgrade kit part # ETBC7L which will give you a 7-way plug. The 4-pole will plug into the pigtail coming off of the 7-way plug, the white wire needs to be ground to a clean bare metal surface and the power wire will need to be extended the vehicle's battery.
Once you have the 7-way installed you can use the Curt Echo Brake Controller part # C51180 which plugs in line with the plug and can be controlled via a smart phone Apple: 8.0 IOS or newer or Android 4.4 IOS or newer. This is the easiest way to install a brake controller because the only wiring it requires is a good ground and power wire from the 7-way plug.
