Towing Fifth Wheel Trailer with Curt Gooseneck Hitch Installed on 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 Long Bed
Question:
My 2020 Silverado 2500 Long Bed has a Curt 60642 Goosneck hitch. How can I pull a 5th wheel trailer with that setup?

With the exception of the Reese Goosebox, keep in mind that using an adapter to tow a fifth wheel with a gooseneck hitch might possibly void the frame warranty of your fifth wheel. This is why the Goosebox OEM pin box replacement is a great alternative that we recommend pretty frequently, because of the excellent ride provided by the air ride feature. The Goosebox is compatible with a few of the most popular pin box models. If your OEM pin box is a Lippert 1621, 1621HD, or 0719, use # RP85FR. This model has a 21K capacity.
Another option would be the Demco Recon, part # DM8550045. The hitch uses a single jaw that grips the 5th wheel king pin for great ride quality. The ride won't be as good as the Goosebox, but it'll be superior to many of the hitch choices out there that use a different jaw system.
Both the recommended solutions would work great with your Curt # C60642 gooseneck hitch.
