Will Hayes Genesis Brake Controller Work on a 2005 Toyota Tundra Limited

Question:

I am buying a travel trailer with e braking on one of the 2 axles (it’s a 2017 StarCraft M-186MD ) and I wanted to buy and install the e brake on my truck to aid in hauling/braking. Can you tell me if the following is the correct item to buy? Hayes Genesis Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional Custom Wiring Adapter for Hayes Brake Controllers - Dual Plug Part Numbers: HA81790,HA81785-HBC Also, I was looking to buy some of the airbag suspension helper bags to keep the back end of the truck from bottoming out. Can you tell me which ones are needed for my vehicle. Would the following work?

The Hayes Genesis # HA81790 with the adapter # HA81785-HBC is exactly what you need if your 2005 Toyota Tundra has the factory 7-Way. If your Tundra doesn't have a factory 7-Way then you'll need to use the pigtail # HA81789-HBC instead of the adapter, plus you'll need to install a 4-Way # C59236 and the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7.

As far as the air bag suspension goes, the Firestone # F4130 are for new Ram pickups so for your Tundra you're going to need the Firestone Ride-Rite # F2245 instead. This kit will fit unless you have an in-bed hitch (5th wheel or gooseneck).

You might also be interested in an air bag kit like part # F2158 so that you can monitor and adjust your air bag pressure on the fly.
