Can the Thule Traverse Roof Rack Be Installed Wider Than 31-1/2 Inches Apart On a 2013 Ford F-350

Is it possible to install with spread wider than 31.5?

The recommended crossbar spread for the Thule Rapid Traverse Aero Bar Roof Rack part # TH711520, part # TH480R, and part # THKIT1508 on a 2013 Ford F-350 is 31-1/2". These are the points on the roof that Thule has identified as being the strongest therefore most suitable for the roof rack to sit. I cannot recommend that you position the feet outside of this measurement but it is possible although the weight capacity would then be unknown.

I took a look at some of the other roof rack options for the F-350 and they all recommend 31-1/2".
