Installation of Hopkins Brake Controller # HM47295 on 2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body

I purchased brake control hopkins # 47295 @ adaptor 47795 for Chevy silverado 2007 new body. I clipped off ends of plug because chevy doesnt have a port plug in I located my four wires needed for connection i was just wondering if you could help me match up which go with which on my chevy i got Dark blue one White Red Light blue An hopkins adaptor i got Red UWhite Blue Black Just need know how to match em up so i could use butt connectors and connect them... Thanks again n hope to hear from u guys soon U guys rock thats why i purchase through u guys and also if the wires need to be touching wheb i butt connect haha never did it be 4 thanks

On the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body they quit offering the factory brake controller port under the dash. These vehicles now have four (possibly five) blunt cut wires under the left side of the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. The wires can be identified by a white label and the color of the wires. The wire colors are (1) Red/Black wire, (1) White wire, (1) Light Blue/White wire and (1) Dark Blue wire and possibly (1) Orange wire.
Red/Black wire connects to Black wire on brake controller for 12-volt power.
White wire connects to White wire on the brake controller for ground.
Light Blue/White wire connects to Red wire on brake controller for brake light signal.
Dark Blue wire connects to Blue wire on brake controller for brake output to trailer.
Orange wire (if present) would not be used. It is for the Center High Mount Stop Lamp (CHMSL).
There will also be two wires under the hood that will need to be connected to make the tow package functional, one is the power wire to the brake control and the other is the battery charge line to the 7 way connector. These wires are both Red/Black with eyelets on them. They are coiled up under the hood and will need to be connected to the under hood fuse box. One of the wires is located between the under hood fuse box and the left (driver) side fender. The other is located under the master cylinder/brake booster assembly. I am including a link to a FAQ page that will explain these connections on your vehicle when installing a brake controller.
On the butt connectors you do not have to make sure the wires are touching, because when the wires are crimped in each end there is metal inside the connector that will complete the circuit of the two wires being connected. I have a video of fixing a broken wire on a trailer and at the 3 minute mark of the video it will demonstrate how to install the butt connectors.
