Can the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution Systems Be Used On a Trailer With L-Shaped Frame
Question:
I just bought one of the WD hitches with the clamp on bracket. I didnt think about this until I started installing it, but my trailer has an L channel instead of C or a box. The bottom of the bracket wont have anything to press against. Is there anyway to make this work?

The Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution Systems like part # C17500 can be used on a l-shaped trailer frame. In order to do so you would simply just take a block of wood and then use that to take up the space between the frame brackets and trailer frame. There isn't a ton of side to side pressure on the frame so the wood can be used as a substitute since there would still be a steel backing.
