Recommended Flat Towing Equipment for 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland
Question:
What do I need to tow my Jeep Grand Cherokee already installed Roadmaster Baseplate kit #521440-5 from camping world

In addition to base plates, you'll need a tow bar, safety cables, a wiring solution, a supplemental braking system and possibly a high/low adapter.
For a tow bar, I typically recommend the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, part # RM-522. The Falcon AT is a non-binding and self aligning tow bar, which makes for very easy connection and removal without needing to have the vehicle perfectly aligned with the motorhome. For safety cables, use # RM-643.
For a wiring solution, go with the Roadmater Diode kit, part # RM-15267. This system utilizes diodes that tap into the taillight harness of the towed vehicle, and once it's installed, it's super easy to use. Connect the tow vehicle to the dinghy with the umbilical, and you're done.
For a braking system, the best option will depend on whether you plan on hanging on to the the vehicle for a number of years, or if you replace them pretty frequently. If you hang on to a vehicle for awhile, a permanently mounted system like the Roadmaster Invisibrake, part # RM-8700 would be recommended along with the # RM-751449 stoplight switch kit. Once installed, no pre-trip setup is really needed. Hitch up the vehicle and go. If you like to upgrade vehicles pretty frequently, a portable unit like the Roadmaster # RM-9400 Evenbrake is recommended. The system is easy to set up in just a minute or two and the unit can be easily moved from vehicle to vehicle. A stop light switch # RM-751449 and a 12-volt outlet kit # RM-9332 is also needed.
Roadmaster found that on a 2011 GC with the stock 265/50-20 tires, the base plate was 19-1/4 inches above the ground when installed. If this is more than 3 inches higher or lower than the receiver height of your motorhome, you'll need to use a high/low adapter to place it within that range. I'll link you to our selection of adapters.
I've linked you to some articles about flat towing and some install videos. I hope you'll find them helpful.
