What Weight Distribution Shank Height Setting Is Best To Use

Question:

I am trading travel trailers and am keeping my hitch set up. When reinstalling on the new camper, should I set the ball higher that stated to counter the sag the truck with have by having extra weight in the bed? Or do I still set it up as if it was an empty bed? Thanks

The correct height setting for the Husky Center Line weight distribution system like the # HT32218 is the setting that allows the trailer to sit as close to level as possible when the truck and trailer are both loaded up and ready to tow with the spring bars connected. So if the vehicle suspension is going to sag a bit you would need a little higher initially. You might need to set it up once and evaluate whether you need to change the height again.
