The base rail kit that I would recommend for your 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 is the Reese Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, # RP50140-58. This kit includes the same base rails that you mentioned, but also comes with brackets that were custom designed to fit your truck whether it has an 8 ft bed or a 6 ft bed.
The base rails included in this kit will accommodate Reese, Curt, Valley and Husky fifth wheel hitches that use standard rails. These rails will not work with Reese Elite Series or Valley UBS fifth wheel hitches.
If you are also looking for a 20K fifth wheel hitch, then I would recommend the Curt A20 Fifth Wheel Slider Hitch item # C16541 for a short bed truck. You will want the Curt A20 item # C16140 if you have a long bed truck.
