Question:

Is there a slider hitch which can be used with a Reese sidewinder in a Ford F-150 short bed when backing up? Thanks

Although a sliding hitch is not necessary with a short bed truck if you have a Sidewinder, the answer to your question is you can back up with any sliding 5th wheel hitch on your 2019 Ford F-150 when using a Sidewinder like # RP34FR, you simply need to ensure you lock out the slider and you're set.

I recommend using a fixed hitch along with a sidewinder, like as mentioned above. For the hitch and installation kit, I recommend the reliable Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - Single Jaw - 20,000 lbs # RP30928 and # RP56034-53. You'll also need the appropriate Wedge # RP44FR to keep the king pin from rotating inside the hitch.

If you need a 5th wheel harness for your F-150 and have a factory 7-way you need the Bargman 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness for Aluminum Truck Bed # 50-97-410-010.
