Recommended Hitch and Cargo Carrier for 2020 Nissan Murano

Question:

I just got a new Nissan Murano. After driving a Suburban for years, it's nice finally having something more maneuverable and easier to park. On the downside, I don't have as much room for cargo when traveling. A neighbor uses a cargo tray he installs in the trailer hitch of his Equinox, he uses it for the cooler and a plastic tote or two he puts camping gear in. Is there an option like that for my 2020 Murano?

We can definitely help you with that! I can certainly understand what you have going on, I've recently downsized vehicles myself and it is a struggle!

For a hitch I'd recommend the Curt Class III receiver hitch, part # C13205. Curt makes a durable, high quality product at a reasonable price point. For the cargo carrier, I'd recommend another Curt product, their 23x60 folding cargo carrier, part # C18151. This carrier has a couple of features I really like, like the carrier can also fold up against the rear of the vehicle when it's not being used, to prevent folks from tripping over it.
