Tonneau Cover Recommendation-2020 Ford F350 Short Bed Towing Fifth Wheel

Question:

I'm interested in a Pace Edwards hard tonneau cover for my 2020 Ford F-350 short bed. I'll be towing a fifth wheel, and I know that the hitch hit will fit under the cover, but I'm concerned about the pin box hitting the raised portion of the cover that sits right behind the truck cab. Which cover would work best?

As long as the underside of your trailer loft sits up high enough so that you have the recommended 4-6 inches of clearance between the underside of the loft and the top of the bed rail, you shouldn't have any difficulties.

This being said, something like the # 311-JRFA18A44 Jackrabbit that has the panel at the front bulkhead that sits flush with the top of the bed rails is what I'd recommend. The US manufactured Pace Edwards Jackrabbit is a high quality aluminum and vinyl hard tonneau cover that would work great for you.

The Pace Edwards Switchblade that you'd looked at, part # 311-SMFA18A44 would also work well, but the front panel sits up a little higher, which would give it a better chance of getting hit.
