Comparison of Curt Hitches Available for 2020 Honda Odyssey

Question:

What's the difference between the 2 inch hitches for my 2020 Honda Odyssey. I'm not sure which one to get?

The primary difference between the available hitches is how concealed they are. The hitch manufacturers heard from folks saying that they loved the convenience of a hitch for towing or attaching hitch mounted accessories but weren't so fond of the appearance of a big hunk of metal hanging under the rear bumper. Many of the hitch manufacturers took this to heart and began designing hitches that install so that the hitch crossbar is concealed behind the rear bumper, with only the receiver tube and the safety chain hoops being visible. Hitches of this sort certainly look much better, but they're usually a bit more expensive and they take longer to install because the rear bumper of the vehicle would typically need to be temporarily removed. The concealed versions will usually allow a little more ground clearance. This isn't necessarily a difficult process, just more time consuming than a typical installation.

The Curt # C64NR is an example of a hitch with a concealed crossbar.

If having a hitch visible below the rear bumper doesn't bother you in the least, then you could go with the Curt # C13370. The Curt hitch will be much easier to install, and is assembled in the US.

If you'll be using the hitch for towing, you'll need a couple of other items to complete your towing system. You'll need a trailer wiring harness, part # 118781, a ball mount like # 2753 and a trailer ball. For a 1-7/8 inch ball, use # 19260 or # 63845 for a 2 inch.
