Hitch Cover Plug For Back Hole of Draw-Tite Hitch
Question:
I installed this on my 2020 Subaru Forester Sport. I keep a WeatherTech Bumpstep XL in most of the time, but will also be using it to carry bikes. My question - can and should I put a hitch plug in the hole on the back side of the hitch facing the front of the vehicle?

You certainly could put a rubber hitch cover like etrailer Rubber Hitch Cover for 2" Trailer Hitches part # 22282 into the back hole of your hitch if you'd like. It would help to keep water and other debris out of the hitch receiver. It is not required but won't hurt.
