Replacement 7-Way and 4-Pole Trailer Connector for 2010 Toyota Tacoma with OEM 7-Way
Question:
i have a 2010 toyota tacoma with a factory 7 blade connector with one connector. hm43385 has two. how do i connect this without having to cut or splice the wires.

According to Hopkins, their # HM43385 is compatible with the 2003-2007 Tundra, but not the Tacoma.
Since you already have the OEM 7-way, and you are simply wanting to add a 4-pole, you could just use part # 118384. This is a T-connector that will plug inline with the factory harness that plugs into the rear of your 7-way. Installation would be simple. Unplug the factory harness from the rear of your existing connector, plug the 4-pole inline, and install a bracket like # 18144 for the 4-pole. This will allow you to retain the OEM 7-way.
Another option would be to use the Tekonsha # 74682, which is pretty similar to the HM43385.
