Will the Pollack Replacement 7-Pole Trailer Connector Fit on a 2010 Porsche Cayenne
Question:
Will this 7 pin wiring receiver fit a 2011 Porsche Cayenne. It looks just like the plug that comes on the Cayenne from the factory. If not this one, is there another?

The Pollack 7-Pole, Trailer Connector Socket, # PK11893 is designed to be a replacement socket for vehicle that come with a factory 7-way connector. If your 2010 Porsche Cayenne came with a 7-way socket like this, then you can use this as a replacement.
If you want to add a 7-way trailer connector on your vehicle that did not originally come with one, then you will first need to make sure that you have a 4-way flat connector. If you do not have a 4-way flat connector, then you will first want to install a ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 119250KIT. This kit will connect to your vehicles tail light wires and uses a converter to adapt the 3-wire system on your vehicle to the 2-wire system on a trailer.
I have attached the installation instructions as well as an installation video to give you an idea of what the installation entails. If you already have a 4-way connector on your vehicle, then you can skip this step.
Once you have the 4-way flat connector installed, you will want to use the 7 and 4 way Installation Kit, # ETBC7. In addition to a 4-way connector, this kit has everything you need to add a 7-way connector to your vehicle including the additional wires needed for the brake controller and 12 volt power and reverse lights.
I have attached an article on installing the ETBC7 kit as well as a video installation of this kit for you to check out.
If you were also looking for a brake controller, then I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, # 90885. This is our most popular brake controller because it is easy to set up and use. I have attached the installation instructions and an installation video for you to check out.
