Will Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack Have Clearance to be Used When Flat Towing
Question:
I own a Class A Tiffin Phaeton RV and behind it I tow a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK. Ive recently purchased the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver and Im contemplating buying the Swagman E-Spec using the 4 inch riser receiver for the bike rack and the 2 inch lower receiver for the Roadmaster Tow to the Jeep. My concern is that the combination of the dual hitch receiver and the extension of the rack would put the 2 electric bikes too far from the back of the RV resulting in a significant collision hazard/impact to the bikes when making sharp turns in the RV as the Jeep comes in close contact with the RV during the turn. Is this a significant hazard concern or not? Impact with the front of the Jeep to the second bike on the bike rack.

I think you'll be just fine using the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver # RM-077-2 with the Swagman E-Spec Electric Bike Rack # S94FR although you will only be able to find out for sure after taking a measurement with your Wrangler connected to your motorhome.
The E-Spec rack will extend a total of about 29 inches from the face of the Roadmaster adapter, and if your tow bar has telescoping arms, the distance between the bike rack and Jeep should still be far enough to avoid any damage.
I think you will be perfectly fine using the E-Spec so long as you have a quality, telescoping tow bar with long arms, such as the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar # RM-522 or Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain Tow Bar # RM-422.
I have added links to video reviews for you to check out as well of the Swagman E-Spec Electric Bike Rack # S94FR.
