want to connect my 2017 transit 250 with a rectangular 6 way socket to a 4 prong tailer

A square 6-pole trailer wiring connector is not a common enough of a connector for there to be an adapter for it to connect to a 4-way. Realistically your best option will be to remove the 6-way and replace it with a 4-way like the # 18252.
