Does Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Kit for 2006 Dodge Durango Draw Amperage When Parked
Question:
What turns the lights off when I am parked?
asked by: Marcus M
Helpful Expert Reply:
Even though the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118390 is connected to the vehicle battery when installed it won't draw any amperage unless you apply the brake lights, turn signals, or running lights of your tow vehicle and there is a trailer connected. So if you parked your vehicle it would not drain the battery with or without a trailer connected. It would be similar to how your vehicle battery is connected to your vehicle's wiring but it doesn't draw amperage unless you activate a circuit that draws amps.
