Video for Brake Controller Install Help for 2015 Thor Axis RV
Question:
The attached answer states a video is attached but I cant find the video. Im looking for the brake controller port on a 2015 Thor Axis RV that sits on a e350 chassis. Can you attach the video in reply email. Thanks, Steve Expert Reply: For your 2016 Thor Vegas, you should be able to use a simple brake controller adapter because it is an Ford E-series cab and chassis. For your brake controller, I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 because it is extremely reliable and easy to use. It is a proportional brake controller so it will send the same amount of braking pressure at the same time as you apply the brakes in your 2016 Thor Vegas. This controller has a simple LCD screen that takes code deciphering of most brake controllers out of the equation. You can use the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Ford # 3034-P. This adapter plugs into the connector behind your vehicles dashboard. To reach the connector, first locate the notch in the access panel in the center of the dash, near the passenger side. Using a trim panel puller, carefully pry the panel out and undo the locking tabs to remove the panel. You will find the mating connector behind this portion of your dashboard. Ive attached a video of a similar installation on a Ford F-350 truck for you to see a similar install. You can see this at the 4:35 mark on the video. expert reply by:
