Hitch for 2020 Camry Hybrid
Question:
Hi, I am going to purchase a 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid and need a receiver hitch for a bike rack. I LOVE this Curt #C11576 because of the hidden crossbar. I dreaded the thought of seeing a rusty crossbar under the bumper of my snazzy red Camry. I see that most top quality bike racks are compatible with this Class 1 hitch for carrying no more than 2 bikes. I will most likely purchase a Thule bike rack and want to be sure this receiver hitch will be compatible with most of the Thule 2-bike options. I have attached Thules compatibility document that specifies the required pin hole and receiver depth and bumper clearance for their products. Can you please tell me these dimensions for this Curt product? -Pin hole depth distance from receiver tube opening to center of pin hole -Receiver depth distance from pin hole to backstop in the receiver tube -Bumper clearance horizontal distance from pin hole to back of bumper for 2020 Camry - I dont expect youll know this dimension but thought Id ask Do you have any concerns with this choice hitch receiver for my Camry? Also, are there any Class 2 hitches that will fit a 2020 Camry? Your website shows several that are compatible with a 2019 which, I think, is exactly the same as the 2020. Thank you so much for your help.

Congratulations on getting a new 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid! I think the Curt hitch # C11576 is a great choice to take some bikes with you and hit the trails. The hidden cross tube definitely looks much better than one that is visible, and it gives you better ground clearance which is always a plus.
I ran out to the warehouse and took a few measurements of the hitch.
From the center of the hitch pin hole to the edge of the receiver (the opening) : 2"
From the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the receiver : 3 1/2"
Unfortunately we haven't had a 2020 Camry in the shop, so I don't have a measurement of the pin hole to the bumper, or how high the receiver tube is off the ground.
I think Thule makes a great bike rack, I recommend Thule Helium Pro 2 Bike Rack # TH9042PRO. It's really lightweight since its aluminum, and has a lot of nice features you would expect from Thule like a tool less installation, built in anti rattle device, locks for the rack, and your bikes that are keyed alike.
As far as the class II hitches go, there are several that fit a 2019 Camry. While both years may look very similar and share a lot of the same characteristics, I can't confirm if the hitch will fit since the manufacturer has not given us updated model information.
You can check out the video I linked of the Thule Helium Pro on a different year Camry.
