How To Add a Backup Camera To the Tow Vehicle Using Furrion Vision S Wireless Camera System

Question:

My trailer dealer sold and installed a furrion vision S system on our 30 tracer trailer. We have marker light cameras on both sides and a rear observation camera. I am driving a 2014 Dodge 3500 that does not have a backup camera. We left off the Door camera option on the Furrion System as we did not see a need for it. I am considering adding a wireless backup camera for the pickup and am trying to figure out which camera and where to mount it. Whether it be in the tailgate as with the factory or lower in the vicinity of the license plate that will sync up with my 5inch monitor in the Door camera quadrant. I am looking for my options. Any suggestions.

The Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System part # FCE48TASL-05 will accept up to four different camera inputs so you have one slot left to use on the tow vehicle. For this, you will need to use the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera part # FCN48TASF. That said, mounting the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera will be up to you as they don't offer any other bracket for this. I recommend either attaching the camera to a licence plate frame or directly to the tailgate under the handle.
