The auto slide feature makes it to where you don't have to get out of your truck to adjust the slider when you make turns which can become inconvenient especially in city traffic or bad weather. It also features a 360 degree contact with the king pin to prevent the rattling and chucking you may experience with other fifth wheel brands.
