Would Bikes and Bike Rack Obstruct Vision of Tail Lights on a 2007 VW Beetle
Question:
I have a 2007 VW convertible and am not sure if the hitches are appropriate for my car. I would like to carry 2 bicycles. Would the bikes obscure my tail lights?

To determine whether or not a hitch is recommended for your vehicle I would recommend you check your owners manual to see if there are any restrictions on installing a hitch. While you are there you should also check to see if there are any tongue weight restrictions if a hitch is installed.
The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 24679, that you referenced is confirmed to fit your 2007 Volkswagen New Beetle and would do well to carry a 2-bike rack. I attached installation instructions for this product for you to check out.
The bikes might be in front of the tail lights, but you should consider that when you look at the side of a bike you can basically see through it and see what is on the other side pretty easily. Especially when you consider that the tail lights of your vehicle would most likely be around the wheels of your bikes and spokes are not visually obstructive.
I attached a page that has all of the bike racks available for Class I hitches like the # 60902 also.
