Hitch That Fits 1977 Chevy C/K Silverado with 35 inch Frame
Question:
I have a 1977 chevrolet silverado 1/2 ton heavy duty pickup I bought new. I have read where this fits frames 34inch wide, outside to outside. I measured and got 35inch outside to outside. This may not be exact but it is close. Will this trailer hitch fit my truck? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The mounting holes of the Curt hitch # 13028 would be slotted enough to allow it to fit on your 1977 Chevy C/K Silverado that has a 35 inch measured frame. Most likely what you have is the exact style this hitch fits but due to the age of your truck it could have been in an accident or just the variances in the vehicles back then cause it to be unique. Either way worst case scenario you could drill new holes as needed.
