The main difference between the EcoHitch Class 2 Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7333 and the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7332 is the receiver tube size. The EcoHitch # 306-X7332 has a 2" receiver tube and an extra 100 pounds of tongue weight compared to the of 1 1/4" on the #306-X7333. The 2" receivers have the widest variety of accessories, that's why I would highly recommend the EcoHitch # 306-X7332. The extra 100 pounds of tongue weight is an added bonus.
Both hitches are going to have the same tow weight ratings, 2,000 Lbs GTW. If you going to use it for a bike rack, the total weight of the bikes and the rack need to be 300/200 lbs or less, the same for cargo carriers.
For a hitch mounted bike rack, I really like the Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Platform Rack # KU74FR. It has a really unique design that makes it easy to load and unload the bikes, along with a raised shank, which definitely will help with ground clearance on your Golf R.
I linked a video for you to check out.
