Spare Tire Carrier Solution for 2019 Winnebago View Motorhome

I want to carry a spare tire on the 2 inch hitch on my Winnebago View motor home built on a 2019 MB Sprinter 3500 chassis. Do you have a spare tire mount? Thank you!

Depending on the size of your spare and the hitch receiver to bumper clearance on your 2019 Winnebago View motorhome, you may be able to use the Curt Trailer Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier # C31006. To gain the most clearance you would use the first mounting hole, which is 2.5 inches from the edge of the shank to the center of the hole. This leaves you with 6.5 inches of space between the center of that hitch pin hole to the backside of the bent upright.

If this isn't enough space to clear your spare tire, you may need to use a hitch extender like # e88YR. This will give you an extra 8 inches of clearance but keep in mind that it will also reduce your hitch's tongue weight capacity by 50 percent. For example, if your 2 inch hitch has a tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs, using the extender will reduce it to 250 lbs. This will still be plenty since all you're carrying is the spare.
