I like the tekonsha brake controller but I don't know if I need the p2 or the p3 for the 2019 GMC Yukon

It really depends on if you plan on towing more than one trailer with the 2019 GMC Yukon. If you tow more than one trailer with the Yukon I recommend the Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 with the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3016 because it allows you to store settings for multiple trailers so you don't have to reset the brake controller every time you switch trailers.
If you do not plan on towing more than one trailer, the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 with the adapter part # 3016 is the better choice because it has all of the same great features of the P3 except the storable settings which you won't really need.
The P2 features a power boost setting that allows you to set the braking to start a higher intensity for heavier loads. It is also designed with a nice blue dimming LED screen that displays boost levels and other settings. The manual override is a wheel on the side of the unit for quick access in those scary situations when the override is needed.
