How much ground clearance does the Curt hitch C12177 have when installed on a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan?

When we installed Curt trailer hitch # C12177 on a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan, the top of the reciever tube measured about 11 1/2" from the ground. The bottom of the cross tube will be about 10" off the ground at the lowest point, since the receiver is 1 1/4".
