Can You Use a Load Extender For Kayaks With Weight Distribution System On a 2018 Ford F-150
Question:
I use a Reese Hitch 54970 with head for ball and sway bars. My trailer GW is 5000 lbs and the tongue weight is approx 500 lbs. I want to use a dual hitch adapter between to accommodate a kayak carrier with hitch mounted load extender

I do have an option for you but in order to carry both kayaks you will need to use a roof rack and dual kayak carrier. The reason for this is because you really cannot use a weight distribution system and load extender together since the dual hitch adapters reduce the tongue weight capacity too much.
For a roof rack, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbar System part # RRVA150B-2, part # RRRLKVA, and part # DK427 which is a great bang for your buck option which comes with locks and aero shaped crossbars for the best wind resistance. Then for a dual kayak carrier, the Rhino-Rack 2 Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs part # S512-S512X comes with everything you need and it's easy to use.
