Can a Weight Distribution System be Used on a Boat Trailer With a Breakaway Tongue
Question:
I have a tandem boat trailer with surge brakes and a break-away tongue. Looking for a weight distribution hardware that will help for my 99 Land Cruiser. Will this work on that type of a trailer? Or, do you have any other recommendations? thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Unfortunately a weight distribution system cannot be used on a trailer with a breakaway tongue. The breakaway style tongue cannot handle the additional pressure that is applied to the tongue by the weight distribution system when distributing weight and controlling trailer sway.
