Does Bumper Need to be Removed for Stealth Hitch on 2020 Subaru Outback
Question:
Very interested in the Stealth 391SUOB20 hitch for my 2020 Subaru OUtback. Can you explain a bit on how it's actually installed? I'm assuming the bumper needs to be removed for it? Thanks.

You are right that the rear bumper/fascia will need to be temporarily removed during installation of the Stealth Trailer Hitch # 391SUOB20 on your 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon (it will be put back on). Because of the extremely hidden design of this hitch, the install process is a bit more intricate compared to standard models. The crosstube on the hitch will actually get sandwiched between the chassis beam and factory reinforcement beam for a uniquely sturdy attachment. This also allows you to maintain the vehicle's existing ground clearance once the receiver piece is removed, which is especially important for your Subaru Outback.
The best way to get a good idea as to how this installs will be to look through the installation manual, which I have attached below. If you have any questions along the way feel free to reach out and we will be happy to help!
