According to the owner's manual, non-Power Wagon 4 wheel drive models of the Ram 2500 can be flat towed. 2 WD models either need to be trailered or dolly towed with the back wheels off the ground.

To flat tow your Ram, you'll need base plates, a tow bar, safety cables, a wiring harness, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high/low adapter.

For a base plate, use # RM-522204-5 and the Roadmaster # RM-576 Sterling All-Terrain tow bar. The Sterling is self aligning and non-binding which means connecting and disconnecting is quick and simple. The tow bar includes safety cables.

For a wiring harness, the Roadmaster # RM-15267 diode kit is the most popular option. The system needs to be hardwired into the wiring harnesses that feed the taillight assemblies on the truck but once the installation is complete, each time you want to tow the vehicle you'll just simply plug in the umbilical and go. For a supplemental braking system, the best choice will depend on how long you plan on keeping the vehicle. If you tend to hang on to your vehicle for a period of several years a permanently installed system like the Roadmaster # RM-8700 would be a great choice. If you don't plan on hanging on the the truck for very long, a portable braking system like the Roadmaster # RM-9400 that could easily be swapped back and forth between vehicles would be a better choice. With either system, you'd need a stoplight switch, part # RM-751461 for vehicles with adjustable pedals or # RM-751460 for vehicles without adjustable pedals. The 12 volt outlet kit is also needed, part # RM-9332.

You might also need a high/low adapter if the tow bar is not within 3 inches +/- of level. I'll link you to our selection of adapters as well as to some help articles and install videos.
