Trailer Wiring Harness Compatible with a 2015 Volkswagen Eos

Question:

UHaul tried both their converter boxes on our Eos neither works right—brakes are dim and one turn signal won’t respond, while the other is actually reversed. Is this a PWM issue because they are using cheap universal hookups $. They gave up and said the problem is my car is German!

The 2015 Volkswagen Eos has a multiplexed wiring system with combined circuits which does indeed require a certain type of converter box, the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT which connects without cutting or splicing is the only option we offer and is 100% compatible with the 2015 Volkswagen Eos.

I believe U-Haul uses a Curt Wiring Harness which are incompatible with the 2015 Volkswagen Eos so that was most likely the issue.
