Finding the Correct Ball Mount to Tow a 64 Mallard Camper Trailer Level with 2004 Chevy Trailblazer
Question:
When I try to tow the camper with my current hitch height, the camper does not sit level. If we are going a short distance, we use a 6inch hitch, without the stability bars/hitch combination that worked just fine with the old 70 chevy. I have a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer, and we need to the receiver height 6. Will this be a safe setup?

It sounds like you just need a properly sized ball mount to tow the camper with your 2004 Chevy Trailblazer. Another possible option is to use an adjustable tow bar. That way you can adjust one ball mount for use on 2 vehicles.
I have included a link to the adjustable ball mounts we carry and a link to an FAQ article that explains how to measure for the correct rise or drop needed to tow a trailer level.
The Roadmaster High-Low Hitch Adapter, # RM-048-4, is for tow bar use only (when flat towing a vehicle behind an RV).
