Which Trailer Hitch for 2020 Subaru Forester Has Best Ground Clearance

If I install a trailer hitch on my 2020 Subaru Forester am I going to reduce my ground clearance?

Trailer hitches do hang below the rear bumper of the vehicle like your 2020 Subaru Forester but some have better ground clearance than others. The hitch option we have with the best ground clearance is the EcoHitch part # 306-X7391. It fits right under the rear bumper of the vehicle and also what makes a big difference is that only the hitch opening hangs below the bumper so in situations where you'd be turning into an elevation change (like a driveway) the ground clearance wouldn't be affected when compared to a hitch that has a crosstube that hangs below the rear bumper as well.

When we had the chance to install this hitch on a similar 2020 Forester we found that from the ground to the top of the hitch opening it measured 15 inches. So from the bottom of the hitch to the ground it would be right at 13-1/2 inches. I attached an install video for this hitch for you to check out as well.
