I want to flat tow my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee behind my motorhome, but there's so many different choices of parts that I'm bewildered. Can you tell me specifically what I need? Thank you!

In order to flat tow your Grand Cherokee, you'll need a tow bar, base plates, safety cables, wiring, a supplemental braking system and possibly a high/low adapter.

For a tow bar, you can't go wrong with the Roadmaster Falcon 2, part # RM-520. The Falcon 2 features self aligning and centering arms that make hooking up the vehicle easy, even if they're not perfectly lined up. The Falcon 2 would pair nicely with the # RM-521440-5 base plate. For safety cables, the # RM-643 work very well.

The Roadmaster # RM-15267 diode wiring kit is by far our most popular choice for your vehicle because of how easy it is to use once it's installed. For a braking system, I'd recommend a permanently mounted system if you intend to hang onto the Grand Cherokee for awhile. The initial installation is more complicated than a portable unit, but once installed, they are very easy to use. If your motorhome has air brakes, use the # SM99243 from Demco. If your coach has hydraulic brakes, Demco makes the # SM99251 that would work great for you.

Depending on the height of the hitch on your coach, you might also need a high/low adapter. When installed, the towbar needs to be within 3 inches +/- of level. Assuming your Grand Cherokee is using the factory tires and is at factory ride height, the base plates will be at about 19-3/4 inches above the ground. If the inside top of the hitch receiver on your motorhome is within that height, you don't need an adapter. If its higher or lower, then I'll link you to the adapters we offer.

I've also linked to some help articles and installation videos for the products I recommended.
