Trailer Wiring Adapter for a 2011 Honda Pilot with a 7-Way and a Boat Trailer
Question:
Loved the instuctions and product. Done. Stupid question. What do you plug into the back of the Pilot since the Boat harness dosent fit into that new Pilot Trailer harness under the cap? Adapter for that. From Boat to Pilot? Hope that made sense?

A lot of boat trailers have what is called a 5-Way flat trailer connector. It has the 4 basic lighting functions, a ground circuit, and a circuit to activate an electric reverse lockout on the trailer coupler. You would need to use an adapter like # HM47570.
One end plugs into the 7-Way on your Honda Pilot, the other end can accept a 6-Way, 5-Way, or 4-Way. There are other adapters in case you have a different style connector on your trailer. I have included a link to the wiring adapter fit guide for you. Start by selecting 7 Blade then select the type of connector on your trailer to see the available adapter options.
