How To Make a 2020 Airstream Globetrotter Be Able To Go Off-Road

Question:

Okay, so an Airstream isnt an off-road vehicle, I get it. That said, my guess is that with a lift and perhaps, if possible, some slightly bigger tires, where one can go opens up a bit. To that end Im wondering: 1. What are the options to toughen the suspension for less than ideal driving? 2. Are 3inch to 5inch lifts possible/practical on a 25foot globetrotter? 3. What options, if any, are there to increase tire size a bit? 4. What are the, if any, unintended consequencesinch to doing any of the above to an airstream? If you havent already figured it out, what I really want is in Bruder EXP-6...lol. Thanks,

The best option we have for you to make a 2020 Airstream Globetrotter more off-road savy is with the Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension like part # ASR35HDS02 which has an integrated 4" lift, 3,500 lb weight capacity, and larger spindle to accommodate off-road tires. The independent design when combined with the axle-less clearance will be ideal for off-road driving and the incorporated lift will again provide better clearance as well as allowing for larger tires to be used.

The above Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension will then use the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # 8-201-9UC3-EZ (2) and Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # 23-458-459. If you don't already have brake controller, the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller part # RED44FR is a perfect option for the above as it can be used with both on-road and off-road towing due to the optional user controlled mode which is specific to this particular brake controller.
