Recommended Gooseneck Hitch for 2020 Ford F-150 with 5-1/2 Foot Bed

Which gooseneck hitch can I use for my 2020 F-150 with short bed (5.5)? Will I need some type of extension? Trailer is 22k. Thank you.

The best option for your 2020 Ford F-150 is the B and W Turnoverball # BW77FR, rated at 30,000 lbs. The Turnoverball is a big time customer favorite because it's a solid American made product with proven durability. Since your truck has the 5-1/2 foot bed, you will likely need to use the B&W Extend-A-Goose # BWTEXA4200 to give you an extra 10 inches of clearance between your cab and the trailer. This coupler fits a standard 4 inch diameter gooseneck outer tube and can be adjusted 8 inches vertically.
To add a 7-way connector inside your bed, I recommend the Bargman 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness # 50-97-410-010. It includes aluminum mounting screws to avoid galvanic corrosion in an aluminum bed, like what you have on your F-150.
