When you say you have two wires from the same hole I believe you are referring to a wish bone harness like part # A35W42B which are designed to be able to allow you to run the tail light wires separately down each side of the trailer. I am not able to tell you the functions that the wires carry on your trailer so I cannot say if you should connect them together. The best way to know what each wire on your trailer does is to test is using a jumper wire from a vehicle battery. This will tell you the functions of each wire and allow you to match up the harness wires accordingly.
