I recommend to use the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118498, an upgrade kit part # ETBC7L and a Curt Echo Brake Controller part # C51180 on the 2020 Toyota Sienna.
The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat pugs in behind the tail lights of the 2020 and the converters power wire needs to be extended to the vehicle's battery. I have attached an installation video for your reference. It is a pretty straight forward installation.
After you have the 4-pole connector installed, I recommend to use the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit part # ETBC7L. We designed this kit for use with the Curt Echo. It comes with the 7-Way plug and wiring to extend the power wire from the plug to the vehicle's battery via the provided circuit breaker. The plug will need to be grounded to a clean bare metal surface of the frame. The 4-Pole will plug into the pigtail coming off of the 7-way plug. The other wires can be tucked away because they are not needed for use with the Curt Echo.
The Curt Echo part # C51180 is designed with an internal 3-axis accelerometer that uses the 12V power from the 7-way to sense when the vehicle is braking and activates the trailer brakes. The unit simply plugs into the 7-way and allows you to control the brake settings with your smart device Apple: 8.0- newer or Android: 4.4- newer. This is the easiest way to install a brake controller in the 2020 Toyota Sienna.
