Recommendation for Easiest to Install Trailer Hitch on 2020 Honda Odyssey
Question:
Hey there. Need a 2" hitch for my 2020 Honda Odyssey. I plan on doing this myself and while i'm mechanically included I'd rather not spend a whole day doing it. Can you just tell me which hitch would be easiest to install? Thanks!

For your 2020 Honda Odyssey the easiest to install 2" trailer hitch is either the etrailer.com # e98855 or the Curt # C13370 (both will install in exactly the same manner) and I give a slight edge to the etrailer.com model because of its unique matte black finish that offers a rugged appearance and isn't as prone to scratches (see attached image).
This hitch will line right up to existing holes in the van's frame rails for a simple bolt-on (no-drill) installation. The only other step in the process is to temporarily loosen or remove the underbody fascia so you can get the hitch into place. We suggest just a 30 minute install time so you will still have most of your day free!
I have attached an installation video that you can also use for reference.
If you plan on using the hitch to tow a trailer you will also need to install a wiring harness. For this I highly recommend the Tekonsha T-One # 118781, which like the etrailer.com hitch mentioned above is going to allow for an extremely simple (and quick) installation. It will plug right into a factory port behind the driver side trim panel to provide you with a 4-Way connector for powering a trailer's signal lights.
I have again attached a complete installation video that you can follow along with.
