The 7-Pole and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Sockets w/ Mounting Bracket and Wiring part # HM40975-11998 is what I recommend using on a 2018 Ram 2500 as the pigtail and trailer connector would be the same as what would have come on the truck when rolled off the assembly line. If you have a cutout in the rear bumper for the trailer connector you can simply discard the included mounting bracket. Please disregard any fit notes on the product page.

If you just need the pigtail harness you can use the Tow Ready Replacement 7-Way Harness and Socket for Factory Tow Package part # 20147.
