Is There a Brake Controller Plug On a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Question:
Does this truck have a quick connect under the dash, or does it have to be hardwired. It does have a factory receiver hitch and 7 way plug. If so what is the part number of the wiring hatness.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 does not have a brake controller plug under the dash nor do any of them from this generation. However, it will have all the wires ran for you which is almost just as easy as using a plug because there are only four wire connections that need to be made. The Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller part # TK90160 is an excellent option and one of my personal favorites. The only other items you will need to install this brake controller are butt connectors, part # DW05745-5.
I have attached an install video for you as well on this process.
