To mount a cargo box like the Cargo Top part # CTC-18S that you mentioned on your 2018 Honda CR-V does require a roof rack first. A really great option for a roof rack is the Thule Wingbar Evo roof rack that consists of part numbers # TH711420, # TH710501, and # TH145046 which installs easily and gives you the most aerodynamic roof rack that fits your vehicle. This means you'd have minimalized wind noise when compared to other options out there.
