Helpful Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit part # 75876 is a fit for the 2018 Subaru Forester 2.5L limited and it will not void your warranty because of the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act that allows you to install aftermarket parts on your vehicle. Unless the problem caused the problem you are trying to get fixed then the warranty cannot be voided.
If you need wiring, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Connector part # 118467 that will give you a 4-way connector on the back of the Forester to illuminate trailer lights. I have attached an installation video for your reference.
