Lightweight Bike Rack Recommendation for Use with Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk
Question:
How much does this rack weigh? Need a rack that can hold at least 3 bikes and plan on using it with the Bike Bunk so bikes and rack can not weigh more than 100 lbs.

Expert Reply:
The Swagman Trailhead 4-Bike Rack # S63381 weighs approximately 32 lbs; this leaves you with around 68 lbs or a little over 22 lbs per bike if carrying 3 bikes. As you mentioned, the Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk # CC-275 has a 100 lb capacity, so carrying more than 2 or 3 bikes would likely put you over the limit.
The only other RV approved rack that is more lightweight and can carry up to 3 bikes is the Swagman Original - 3 Bike Rack # S64152-2, weighing approximately 27 lbs.
